Intensive Family Intervention (IFI) and Community Based Alternative for Youth (CBAY)
Our Intensive Family Intervention (IFI) program includes 10 to 20 hours of therapeutic contact for youth and his/her family over period of 90 days (12 weeks), extended treatment may be authorized for an additional 90 days if needed. Our program offers 24 hours a day, 7 days a week crisis support. Referring agencies receive frequent updates and documentation of the youth status in the program.

Who is eligible for IFI services?

• Children ages 5-18

• Children with severe behavioral, emotional, and /or substance abuse issues

• Children who are in immediate risk of being placed out of their home or school

• Children who have received individual or group counseling

• Children who are at risk of harming themselves or others

Community Based Alternative for Youth (CBAY) service is a waiver demonstration grant designed to provide psychiatric residential treatment facility-level community based services in the home through individualized Wraparound planning process.

 

Who is eligible for CBAY services?

 

  •  Children and youth with serious emotional and behavioral disturbances who have a primary diagnosis of mental illness as identified in the DSM-IV (or most current version) and who are placed in or at risk of placement in a Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility (PRTF); and

     

  • Youth/young adults age 18 through 21 with a primary diagnosis of mental illness as identified in the DSM-IV (or most current version) that are placed in or at risk of placement in a PRTF Facility.
